Metro Missions

At LMC we believe you are either a missionary or a mission field, and we contend it is our calling and privilege to reach the lost, both in our city and around the world. Jesus commanded us as His disciples to "Go and teach all nations" and, with God's empowerment and provision, we are endeavoring to accomplish this task. We do this by supporting projects and missionaries domestically as well as around the world.

Domestic Missions

Domestically, LMC is involved in ministering to the hungry, the homeless, unwed mothers, widows, those in prison, children who cannot attend church, and “at need” neighborhoods. We do this by supporting ministries such as Living Alternatives, Zion’s Home, Sidewalk Sunday School, and S.T.A.N.D.

In July of 2003, we began our Sidewalk Sunday School Outreach. We have a trailer outfitted will all kinds of gadgets to draw young people to be ministered to with song and the Word. If you would like to be a part of this outreach opportunity, please contact Pastor Bruce Wike at the church office.

Stand Ministry

S.T.A.N.D. Ministry

S.T.A.N.D. (Servants Through Action Night and Day) is a ministry that touches "at need" neighborhoods by cleaning yards, painting houses, and cleaning houses. After an applicant is accepted and the need is evaluated, a team of volunteers decends upon the home in need and transforms it into something the owner can be proud of.

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.

Globally, we are involved in supporting numerous missionary efforts in various countries around the world. We do this by sending financial support, and short-term outreach teams who build churches, teach in Bible Training Schools, minister to church leaders, and lead evangelistic outreaches.
